Breast milk is the best nutrition for infants and offers numerous benefits to both mother and baby. A mother's diet should be balanced and healthy before and during breastfeeding. Combining breastfeeding with bottle feeding in the first few weeks after birth may decrease breast milk supply and make the decision to reintroduce breastfeeding more difficult. The social and economic impacts of using infant formula should be considered. Improper feeding or inappropriate feeding methods can be harmful to an infant's health. If a mother uses infant formula, she should strictly follow the manufacturer's instructions for use; otherwise, the infant may become unwell. Mothers should consult their healthcare professional for advice on infant nutrition.
